What is "Smile Center"
The Smile Center is a non-for-profit organization for children and young adults with special needs. Smile Center was originally founded by Tena Hill and Melissa Hormann. Smile Center is now run by Jennifer Niehaus, Melissa Hormann, and Courtney Peters.
There is absolutely no cost to join or be involved. We meet every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 1108 Rixon St. Alton IL
Smile Center is a place where the “Smiling Faces” can go to play, socialize, learn, create, express themselves, learn life skills, build self-esteem and make new friends. It is a place to fit in and get away from any discrimination.
Each meeting will include a new and different activity for the children to get involved in such as crafts, games, daily living skills, the occasional movie night, and much, much more.
Parents/Guardians are always more than welcome to get involved in fundraisers, outings, and activities. This is not a religion-based group. Donations are also welcome and appreciated to help with the cost of crafts and nightly snacks.
